Wishing to be the friction in your jeans
I got home from Lund monday morning. Wrote recipes all day instead of doing my exam - clever. Home tuesday. Did some studying. Still felt like I was going to creep out of my skin after one day at home. Went happily back to Lund yesterday morning to hand in the first draft. Met up with Jessica and Lisa and some guys from the class to get some coffee. Train home to pick up my uniform and then straight to work. After work I took the bus home to Helene. Got home around midnight. Normally I'd be wrecked after a day like that but I still wasn't tired when I got home. And I was up around nine this morning, started work at eleven. Worked till five. Now I've had food and whatnot and I'm heading to Fagans in twenty minutes for the quiz. Home sucks.
Over and out.

When it comes to acting up, I'm sure I could write the book
And the goats shall inherit the earth
Something to look forward to; Party on Saturday! Always fun. Have to get another bag of that dangerously delicious margarita mix. My silly sister didn't want to have the party at her place, cause it means you have to clean up, so we're having it at Helene's dorm. Even though Helene is working and won't be attending 'till later on. She's going to try to get off earlier, so that's good. I sent an e-mail to my dear classmates and for once there's atleast seems to be some kind of interest shown. Gut. On another note I told Jessica and Lisa I won't be back in Lund for a while. Went there four times last week and three of those times we ended up drinking. It was great but it's no good. I'm sure you all know what I mean.
Now I am going to get some more coffee and listen to some more music before I finish up what little writing I've actually done today. And yes, I am ashamed of myself.
Over and out.

Sounds like Dublin to me
I wasnt nervous about the oral exam at all, this time I was just seriously worried about not being able to make it in time. Why do I never learn from my mistakes?
Me, Jessica and Lisa celebrated on Monday night that it was all over.
Pie came and went over easter. Its sad how fast time goes when hes over.. Its my turn to fly over in May, but i still dont know when or how.
I went to see a studentapartment yesterday. The area was so and so, close enough to Värnhem and the bus to Lund and home, but it was also close to the known red light district in Malmö.
The apartment itself smelled like cigarettes, a big minus. And the room was too narrow to be able to fit a doublebed in, let alone a bed + a sofa. So its a No.
Im better off getting a proper apartment anyway..
Been listening to Arctic Monkeys alot lately. "A Certain Romance" sounds exactly like its about Dublin to me.
Well they might wear classic Reeboks, knackered Converse
or tracky bottoms tucked in socks
But all of that's what the point is not
The point's thats there ain't no romance around there
And there's the truth that they can't see
They'd probably like to throw a punch at me
And if you could only see them, then you would agree
Agree that there ain't no romance around there
You know, oh it's a funny thing you know
We'll tell 'em if you like
We'll tell 'em all tonight
They'll never listen
Cause their minds are made up
And course it's all okay to carry on that way
And over there there's broken bones
There's only music, so that there's new ringtones
And it don't take no Sherlock Holmes
To see it's a little different around here
Don't get me wrong, oh there's boys in bands
And kids who like to scrap with pool cues in their hands
And just cause he's had a coupla cans
He thinks it's alright to act like a dickhead
Don't you know, oh it's a funny thing you know
We'll tell em if you like
We'll tell em all tonight
They'll never listen
Cause their minds are made up
And course it's all okay to carry on that way
But I said no Oh no!
Well you won't get me to go!
not anywhere, not anywhere No,I won't go
Oh no, no!
Well over there there's friends of mine
What can I say, I've known 'em for a long long time
And yea they might overstep the line
But you just cannot get angry in the same way
No not in the same way oh not in the same way Oh no, oh no no

My irish adventure - part two
Since I skipped the sunday and monday, this is the tall tale of the tuesday (TTT - hohoho). As planned earlier, I had a hot double date by the names of Grace and Aisling. Heinz was supposed to go to college, but didnt, and later on he was supposed to go training.. but he didnt. It was for those reasons I chose the tuesday, but obviously it ended up far from my plans.
First thing we did was dropping of my bag at a weird little netcafe that kept bags up to 24 hours in a secure locker. For three fifty I couldnt really complain even though the place seemed a little odd. I had nothing of value in my bag anyway. Except my precious used underwear, of course.
When I picked up the bag later on, the guy said, in a completely serious voice, that he had sold it. Grace believed him and looked chocked. I played along.
Guy: Dont you want to know how much I got for it?
Me: I am kind of curious since nothing in it was worth... anything.
Guy: Guess.
Me: 5000 euro? or maybe 3 euro?
The guy opened the locker and pointed at my bag.
Guy: is that the one?
Me: yeah.
Me: or wait! (pointing at a bag three times the size of mine.) I want that one.
It couldve worked...
Then we went to Penneys on O´Connell street. And then to Penneys on Henry street.. and then to all the shoe shops on Henry street. I didnt actually find as much clothes as Id like, I bought a pair of jeans, a cardigan and a top. And a shitload of socks and knickers, as usual. And only one pair of shoes! I did lust for more than one pair, to be honest, but I stopped myself. I ended up borrowing 100 euro from Heinz as it was so.. it was probably for the better.
Then we went to see Becoming Jane (not my choice), about Jane Austens early days, and as always I got free tickets.. No wonder Im completely spoiled and refuses to pay for tickets here in Sweden. I actually had three people at once offering to get me free tickets! Aisling and Grace says that it feels like walking in to the cinema with a celebrity since I get such a special treatment.. thats the only good thing about being known as "Crazy Swede Lennebo".
And with shame in my heart I have to admit that we went to McDonalds four times that day.. once for breakfast, once for a cup of coffee while waiting for Aisling, once for dinner and once for post-cinema coffee. The last time was the best of the visits, we had alot of fun turning a discusting donut into a modern work of art. AKA a total mess. Half a donut + sugar + used teabag + wooden stick = modern art. I will let the pictures speak for themself..
And then I went home with Aisling after teasing Grace about it just being me and Aisling in a comfy doublebed, all cuddled up.. Lets call it Aislings revenge for being banned from the bed when they were over in August.
Aisling "Silly hat" Ryan
Yes.. and thats the story of my irish adventure. On the wednesday I just roamed town and went to the cinema, again, and on thursday morning I took the flight home. Ah, it was five good days. Hopefully it wont be another four months until I fly over.
Over and out.

Shoe shopping, marking out and such
Me starring in "Attack of the cupcakes - chocolatey revenge"
And today we had an introduction on how to write your final exam. Which was to no use at all. A waste of two hours of my life.. but not really do, I wouldve done nothing with those two hours. Im not too worried about the final exam, I think Ive chosen my subject and we have plenty of time to write it on.. Im more worried about this exam coming up. Ive barely studied and its in two weeks time. Not only do we have to do a group project, we also have an individual exam to write at the same time. Im basically screwed. The group project should be alright, me, Lisa and Jessica are good at keeping each other motivated so thatd be grand as soon as we choose our subject and start working on it. But how am I supposed to be able to focus on the individual exam aswell? GNAH!
I served Orvar Säfström in work today. I was so close to blurting out "I wrote about you in my last exam Youre my idol" but I fought really hard to keep it in. I think I blushed a bit though.. Ive seen him around town before, yes, Ive been on the same bus as him but this time he was actually talking to me. OHHHH. Hes lost alot of weight.. Thats why he wanted that new solero with only 92 calories.. Im on to you, Orvar.

happy birthday daddy!
IKEA rules! Met up with Jessica at 11 to go to this magical place called IKEA. They have everything you need.. and more. Weirdly enough im a big fan of the kitchen department, I cant wait to get my own place so I can kit it out with pots and pans and stuff. I bought a lovely carafe for Aisling and her parents as a thank you gift for letting me stay there. (hopefully she doesnt read this before tomorrow now).
we started the shopping tour with coffee and cakes, a must, especially since we both skipped breakfast. and then finished it with food, since I was heading to work straight after. i bought pasta with ratatouille, and had two bites, and then I was done. It wasnt nice and I wasnt feeling the best. luckily I only paid 25 kronor for it.
then we headed to Mobilia, I had to drop into Videomix to get my dear dad a Hasse o Tage-box. Its his birthday. My old man is turning old, 56 to be precise. CONGRATS DADDY-O!

Meatballs minus the meat = balls
The class today was interesting, they usually are nowadays. Still have no clue what to write about for my exam but, eh, thats a later problem. I will have to bring some books to Dublin though. Ah.. Im flying out saturday, cant wait. A bit worried about the flight though considering its paddys day. I wouldnt say the irish people on the plane is going to be such a problem, id say the swedish ones will be worse. Swedish people can NOT handle their drink.
Me and Heinz booked two nights at a hotel yesterday, so its really going to be like a miniholiday. Overlooking the fact that i have to study. (booo)
And I lost my phone today, continuing the spell of bad luck. Youd almost thinks its the thirteenth today, but no, its tomorrow. TOMORROW. I didnt notice it was gone until i was going to look at the time on the second bus. Slight panic. Not that I care too much about the phone itself, its phone number three, the really old nokia 3300. Its the simcard thats the loss, since the phone is currently holding my brand new bill pay-card.. stoopid. I decided to call it when i got home, to see if it actually was in my bag still and i just suffered from temporary blindness.. but that wasnt the case since someone answered. The busdriver on the 171. Which is weird. My bag is pretty deep and i dont remember taking it up at any point. Anyway, he told me I had to pick it up in Lunds bus depot, or I had a chance to catch him since he was going to pull in at Södervärn at 17.35. At this point it was 16.20 so I had plenty of time to get there. I was close to not catching him though, since he changed number on the bus to 131 and forgot to mention this. But after id been standing at the 171 busstop and gotten weird looks from the busdriver in bus number 131 I decided that either its the guy that has my phone or this guy has no control over himself. of course it was the guy. I said "thank you thank you thank you" "youre very kind" and "my hat off to you" and hurried home.
Were I made meatballs without meat. They consist of, amongst other things, almonds, cheese, onion and eggs. And then you boil them in vegetable stock and fry them on a pan. I got the receipt from Emma who said it tasted exactly like real meatballs. After a glance on the ingredients I had my doubts, but decided to try them. And its true, they really do taste like real meatballs. I let my family try and got comments like "thats so odd" and "they taste like meat". Dont ask me how, but they do. Mmm.. now I can do meatballsubs with remoulad and rosted onions... Classy.
This is what I made earlier..

This is how suspicious you should look when my dad offers you a drink
Me and Helene (and maybe my sister and her friends, but thats a big maybe) are supposed to head out tonight but I dont now if Im up for it. Theres a Studentparty on at the Chocolate factorys nightclub and i really want to go, but not in this state. Alcohol - yes please - but I dont know if me dancing right now is such a good idea. Id kill people. And probably myself. Ill wait and see how i feel later on. the tiredness and general confusion might wear off.

Whoreschampoo.
The exam is done. Wish I could say I have no further worries, but at the same time I must say working a whole weekend with my next sleep-in due on tuesday.. Im worried. I will be sleepdeprived and delirious. Or both.
Celebrated the accomplishment of finishing the exam in two days with a nice dinner and a bottle of Vino at Jessicas place. Stupid germans making wine thats only 8,5% but still manages to get you tipsy after half a bottle.. We all (Lisa was there too) lost our Breakfast at Tiffanys-virginity and we were all pleased with it. For being a forty year old movie it was surprisingly modern. It touched us in ways we never knew we could get touched.. oh yeah
Then we went home, except for Jessica who decided to go with the flow and go to Malmo for no apparent reason. Or to clean her grandmothers apartment.. one or the other.
Public transport rocks!
I borrowed a beginners course in spanish from Jessica. Ive wanted to learn how to speak it for quite a while now and hopefully some words will stick. To my brain thats made of glue.
Other then that, not much has happened. I will try to write more regularly here, but I make no promises because of my extensive hatred of sitting infront of the computer for more than five minutes. Anyway.. Ha sido un placer!
